Lena Spencer was the owner/operator of Caffé Lena in Saratoga Springs, NY. Bob Dylan performed at Caffé Lena in June 1961 and Jan 14-15, 1962.

Several photographs (taken by Joe Alper) of Dylan performing and offstage (with Suze Rotolo) at Caffé Lena appeared in Kristin Baggelaar and Donald Milton, The Folk Music Encyclopedia, Omnibus Press, London, 1977 (pp. 113 and 365).

Dylan stays at the home of Joe Alper in Schenectady, playing the piano and working on new songs. Alper takes several photos of Dylan performing in Schenectady and Saratoga Springs....
